CB1 antagonist AM251 alters odor-evoked electrical activity in individual ORNs.

To assess the electrophysiological properties of single cells we use patch clamp experiments in various configurations. On-cell measurements are used to record action potentials in a variety of cell types of the olfactory system, e.g. ORNs after olfactory stimulation. Whole-cell measurements are conducted to assess specific membrane conductances and their changes under various experimental conditions. We also apply patch clamp experiments in combination with imaging recordings or single cell PCR.
